Shut the Door

Has your dad ever said, “shut the door, we don’t want to heat the whole neighborhood!” followed by something like, “we don’t own the heating company?”

Well, we can open and close doors in the spiritual realm too. So many people are confused about why the devil is being allowed to torment them and nothing the do will get rid of it. What they don’t understand is they have opened the door to the devil through: T.V., music, actions, generational issues, traumatic experiences or painful childhood.

As children of God, we can close the door. The biggest issue for Christians is the idea that when they accept Jesus all the doors were closed, and doors could no longer be opened. This is sadly not true.

New testament writers constantly encouraged believers to stay on guard that they would not be deceived.

If we can’t be deceived why would God have said that?

So many people don’t understand this and it’s creating a church in bondage. We need to renounce past practices, unforgiveness, participation in watching or listening to media that is not in alignment with God’s word.

“Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything, worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” ~Philippians 4:8

When you renounce in the name of Jesus and invite the Holy Spirit to fill, the door is shut, and the devil no longer has legal access to torment you.

Shut the door!
